Annual Meeting set for April 13, 2015 at St. John Bosco

We welcome all public, volunteers, or community groups to attend our annual meeting on April 13th, 6PM at St. John Bosco church. We'll be reviewing our yearly numbers served, expanding food donation collections, and providing an update regarding our 501c3 status (which is still in the process of being reinstated with the assistance of Harold Shuitmaker). Once we are reinstated, all donations made will be tax deductible, as our status will be retroactive to last summer. We thank you for your donations; without food, we would not be able to continue serving our families.

Non-Profit Status

It has come to our attention that our 501c3 Non Profit status has been revoked because we did not submit annual form 990's to the IRS. This has been corrected, and we are waiting on the IRS to reinstate the pantry within 60 days. Donations can still be made, and by the end of the year, we anticipate our 501c3 status to be fully restored.

Mattawan Food Packs program a success for the 2nd year

The Board of the Mattawan Area Pantry wishes to deeply thank all Mattawan area families for supporting our Mattawan Food Pack program with their volunteers hours and money. All donations to this program buy food items that are put into backpacks, and that then go home with children for the weekend.

Thank you! Christmas Day Distribution, 2013

Wow, time flies! It seems like yesterday that we served 180+ families in our December 14th, 2013 Distribution Day. Thank you to all of our volunteers who came out to help, and to the many donations that continue to come in, allowing us to buy food for our families. Mattawan is blessed to have all of you!

2nd annual BBQ event on October 19!

We provide food assistance to Mattawan Consolidated School District families on the FIRST and THIRD Saturdays from 9:30AM – 12PM.

**If you are a single/family living in the Mattawan School District area, please call our cellphone at 269- 348-5596.  We are in the pole barn located across from the Mattawan Community Church, behind Spike’s Auto Service on Front Street. Our sign is visible from the street.**

Potential Donors, Updated as of January 2014: we are in need of deoderant/antiperspirants, laundry soap, toothpastes, and lotion.

We hope that you would help us buy food for the families we serve. Without donors, we cannot feed families. Please visit the DONORS tab for more information.
